About RefugeeOne's Dental Clinic:
Refugees often suffer from poor dental health due to lack of access to professional dental care, limited diet, and in some cases, torture. In the U.S., high quality, affordable dental care is difficult to find, particularly from healthcare providers who speak refugees’ home languages or address their cultural concerns.
RefugeeOne opened our Dental Clinic in 2021, providing RefugeeOne clients with free, essential on-site dental care that contributes to their sense of wholeness and overall wellbeing with translation services and cultural considerations.
We partner with the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and other volunteer dental professionals to provide essential services, including preventative and restorative care, deep cleaning, extractions, dentures, partials, and limited endodontics (root canals).
We seek professionals who:
– Maintain active licensure with the state of Illinois
– Can commit to volunteering at least 1X month for 2+ hours
